Youth Program

MERS goal is to provide young people who are 16-21 years old the opportunity to develop a positive self-image, set goals, and make decisions that will help prepare them for a brighter future.

This program provides youth with a continued emphasis on education and employment opportunities.  Partnerships with local business are developed to allow young people to gain valuable work experience and the chance to receive mentoring within the workplace.

Training in job readiness, cash register operation, and resumé development are all offered to youth to help prepare them to enter the workforce.  By providing life skills training before the youth enters employment they are better prepared to handle the responsibilities of being an employee and maintain a job.

For more information about the youth program contact Spencer Whitehead at (573) 683-7551 or by email
