This project is a partnership between Missouri Children’s Trust Fund, Mississippi County Caring Communities, Parents as Teachers in Charleston and East Prairie. This project is to help keep babies and children safe and free from abuse and neglect. Parent education will be provided to parents to reach this goal. By learning infant massage techniques, safe sleeping practices, crib safety, and other positive parenting techniques, parents will have the necessary tools to keep their children. What PARENTS can expect from the program Parents and their children participating in the Reaching All Parents Program will benefit in many way; parents will gain better understanding of how their child develops, what steps it takes to raise a developmentally normal child, and other useful topics. Parents will also be educated about other resources available in the county to help with child and family development. MCCC also offers fun activities and networking meetings through the Reaching All Parents Program.
